Bonedigger and Milo live together at Garold Wayne Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Three other dogs also share the space. In 2008, at the age of four weeks, the pup was introduced to Bonedigger, and an unlikely friendship was formed. You see, Bonedigger has a metabolic bone disease that has left him mentally retarded. Park president Joe Exotic thinks that this handicap has something to do with the bond that has been formed.
Milo cleans Bonedigger’s teeth after they share meals of raw meat. In return, Bonedigger licks Milo (even though his tongue is as big as the dog’s head). The dogs just thought that the lion was a really big puppy, and they will not be separated. The dogs sleep on top of Bonedigger and even try to imitate his growls.
