This post is going to be extremely short and to the point, because I’m completely drowning in school work.
Today is World Water Day, dedicated to promoting access to clean water, a challenge that is only growing as population and pollution increase.
90% of the world’s water is used for growing food, but it’s obviously also important to have clean drinking water. What can you do to help? Simple things. Turn off the faucet while you brush your teeth or shampoo your hair. It may not seem like a lot, but every little bit helps.
I have an app on my iPod called Striiv. It’s a pedometer that has many features and one is called a Walkathon. 18,000 steps provides a day’s worthy of clean water for a school child in South America. It’s fun and the donations make you feel great.
