Sunday, a policewoman was shot and killed in Denver. Monday, three more officers were shot and killed in Mexico City.
Two federal police officers who were suspected to work for drug traffickers opened fire on the other officers in Mexico City’s international airport, leaving witnesses scrambling for cover. The suspects have been identified by video surveillance, but have not been captured.
The officers killed were on an anti-narcotics mission and were at the airport to catch the two suspects in the act of drug trafficking. The trafficking network involves many officials from federal and local government agencies.
